About Dr. Kathleen Hartford

For more than two decades Dr. Kathleen A. Hartford has treated and nurtured thousands of individuals, showing them how to take responsibility of their long-term health with guidance on nutrition, exercise, stress, and chiropractic methods.  Now she has developed a 12-week plan to jumpstart anyone on the road to health and youth with her new book, Health Pyramid:  The Key to Vital Living.

Dr. Hartford, the president and founder of Health Pyramid Longevity and Vitality Center in the Pittsburgh suburb of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, she is also the founder of the Sister Support Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of women through education, self knowledge and sharing.

Her practice is based on balancing the five aspects of health:  emotional, neurological, bio-chemical, bio-energetic and spiritual. She has been an integrated health care practitioner since graduating Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in 1986.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978.

Dr. Hartford, is the host of  The Key To Vital Living radio show, she spent five years in Cape Town, South Africa, serving on the Health for Africa Board, lecturing on the benefits of chiropractic at the world renowned University of Cape Town Medical Center.

She has logged thousands of postgraduate hours studying Chinese Medicine, Functional Nutrition, Neurological re-patterning, spinal adjusting, and tens of thousands of hours applying them to enhance her patients’ lives.  She has received numerous certifications in the techniques above, including a Healthy Aging Certification.

Shortly after she began her career as a technical affairs manager for a Fortune 500 company, Dr. Hartford injured her back in a minor fender-bender.  After traditional methods failed, she turned to chiropractic care.  The relief was so instantaneous and complete that she decided to leave corporate America to learn more about the treatment that had given her a new lease on life.

Fourteen years ago a beloved family member was critically injured in a private plane crash.  He sustained a closed head injury and lay in a coma for 10 days.  Dr. Hartford credited medicine for saving her loved one’s life but quickly realized that his potential for a full recovery and return to a productive life did not lie in the hands of medicine. She was committed to returning him to the quality of life he had had before the accident.  During their quest, Dr. Hartford found techniques and practices that accomplished things modern medicine said were impossible.  These same techniques are now utilized as part of the integrated wellness approach at Health Pyramid.

Dr. Hartford and her husband have six children and reside in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  For more information on Dr Hartford’s office, please consult:www.HealthPyramid.com or phone 1-800-893-1000.
